HKA G&S: submerged floating tunnels, a structure with an identity crisis

This event explores the innovative concept of submerged floating tunnels (SFTs), a futuristic solution for deep water crossings. It will delve into the engineering principles that allow these tunnels to float suspended in water, the unique technical challenges they present, and the current research focused on their safety and feasibility. The session will be led by Dr Marcel ’t Hart, a leading expert from Haskoning and Tunnel Engineering Consultants, and will feature a presentation followed by a Q&A.
